Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is an American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond hair and an ebullient persona, shows how to cook restaurant-style dishes in your home with simple techniques. Chef Burrell studied and worked at the top New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food from an early age. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most enjoyable time of my life. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. In Italy the chef gained an appreciation and knowledge of Italian cuisine. It had a significant impact on how she views food. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids who have challenges. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor Burrell travels throughout the United States to discuss her culinary passion and profession. Anne was always grateful that she was able to share her passion that she had for sharing her cooking skills with other people.
